Validation of Burnout Questionnaire among Automobile Apprentice Artisans in Osun State Nigeria

A cross-sectional survey design was adopted to validate the Burnout Questionnaire (BQ) on Nigerian automobile apprentice artisan. multistage sampling technique used purposively select 150 (mean age ± SD 21.4±3.6). total of male participants were drawn from selected communities in Ede metropolis Osun State, Southwestern Nigeria. The responded Questionnaire, and Mashlash Inventory (MBI). Internal consistency showed a Cronbach's alpha coefficient .83, Spearman-Brown .87 Guttman Split-Half .74. significant positive correlation observed between MBI, revealing validity score (r = .690, p= .001). Question has acceptable psychometric properties for population. group based norm ≥ 48.16. Based findings, 17-item good internal reliability valid measure symptoms burnout. authors concluded that population as it fits well socio-cultural setting burnout symptoms.
